The Bride’s Project – fighting cancer one dress at a time!

Looking for something to do with your dress post wedding day? You might find value in this great cause and excellent idea.

The Bride’s Project – fighting cancer one dress at a time…here is how they describe the work that they do.

“The Brides’ Project has two very important purposes: to provide every bride with the things she needs for a beautiful wedding within her budget, and to support cancer charities by donating all our profits.”

How you can get involved…

Your role: Your donation of wedding items will go a long way in helping other brides have their perfect wedding, and make a huge difference in our ability to donate to cancer charities. Your support by purchasing or donating your gown and accessories will help these fabulous organizations continue to make huge strides in the fight against cancer. Get involved, and help us make a difference. Join a walk or other event to support cancer charities. We’ll support you and join you.”

Want to know more…here are their contact details. Below is a photo of the dress donated by great clients of mine, Natalya and Brett. Spread the word!

Montreal Wedding Photographer PhotoSix Weddings – Receives new review on Wedding Wire

PhotoSix ::: Weddings and Events Reviews & Ratings | Wedding Photography | Quebec - Quebec

Wedding Wire is a great place to source new and prospective vendors for your wedding. The site is set up to allow current and past clients to post remarks regarding a vendor and their service. In addition, you can also create your own wedding website (for free) and post images, details, directions, comments, reviews, etc. concerning your wedding. The site lists internationally and also has a forum to seek insight/advice from other couples and their experiences. Additionally, you can post a question to the pro forum and have a professional respond with the information you seek. All and all, it is a great resource. Montreal Area Florist Goes Above and Beyond

I recently photographed a wedding at the end of April this year. (Lee & Chris – slideshow below) At that time, almost all flights in and out of North Western Europe were disrupted due to the volcanic eruption happening in Iceland. How does this relate to a wedding? Being the integrated global economy that we are, most rare and beautiful flowers arrive fresh daily from international locations. So just imagine that you had selected all the flowers for your wedding day – bouquets, boutonnière, decor, etc.. No flights out of Europe, no flowers on wedding day.

Enter the professional and exceptional florist – Beaconsfield Flora. Shirley, the florist, took orchids off of here own personal plants at home to complete her order and fulfill her obligation. The flowers were amazing, varied, and beautiful. Now that is the type of wedding business I like. Congratulations to Shirley and Richard at Beaconsfield Flora for their extra effort and lovely work.

I recently had the great pleasure of working with DJ Bernardo for the 2nd time. I love his energy, his ability to get things going just by being himself. In my opinion, wedding entertainment walks a fine line between great and not so great. DJ Bernardo firmly operates in the great. Completely adaptable to what is happening in the room, prepared for any request, and again, energy. You are going to dance if you can book this guy. Here are his contact details:
